hey there,
I’m Crystal, and I’m truly glad you’re here. I’ve been photographing families since 2012. Over the years, I’ve learned that the most meaningful moments are the unexpected ones, the unposed, unplanned, real-life moments.
As my own kids grow, I’ve realized we can’t wait for perfection. We have to accept our families and ourselves as we truly are. Only then can we thrive.

my philosophy
Before you scroll past, I want to share something that matters deeply to me as a photographer. No matter how society changes or where the photography industry heads, one thing remains certain. Photography matters most when it focuses on the intimate bond between the people we love most. Babies rarely sit still. Toddlers explore instead of pose. Parents laugh when things do not go as planned. These everyday moments are what make your family unique and what you will treasure most years from now. In a world filled with AI and carefully curated images, it becomes even more important to remember what real looks like. My sessions are designed to feel natural, but they are still thoughtfully planned. I style and coordinate the space so everything photographs beautifully. The result is curated candid imagery. Natural moments, guided just enough with simple prompts so connection can unfold without feeling forced. Posed newborn sessions are where styling and perfect posing take center stage. Outside of that, the focus shifts to authentic interaction. Holding your baby. Laughing together. The quiet, unplanned moments that say the most. This is also why I photograph newborns in my own studio. The space is intentionally simple and calm. The light is consistent, and the environment is quiet. Parents can walk in, settle down, and focus on their baby instead of their surroundings. The simplicity keeps attention where it belongs, on your connection and these fleeting first days.
