Meet Crystal

Hello,

I’m Crystal. I’m a quiet, book-loving introvert most of the time, but when I’m holding my camera, it’s like I become a different person. The camera gives me a sense of purpose and presence. I know exactly what I’m doing, and I know how to capture the little moments that make your family’s story feel authentic.​

I’m the photographer who notices the way a newborn’s tiny fingers curl just so, how a toddler’s giggle turns into a belly laugh, or the quiet glance exchanged between parents when no one’s looking. My style is a mix of playful and precise. I’ll make animal sounds or pretend to fart if that’s what it takes to get kids laughing, but I’ll also fuss over every little detail in a newborn pose, making sure everything is just right.

I’m the type who gets completely immersed in the moment during a session, focusing fully on what’s unfolding rather than stepping back to snap behind-the-scenes photos for social media. When my kids were little, I documented everything, but now I’m more focused on truly living those moments. I tend to overthink and overdo things. I take lots of photos during a session because I don’t want to miss a single detail, and then I find it hard to choose which ones to deliver because I love them all.

I’ll admit I’m a little scattered, often lost in my own thoughts, and sometimes come across as quiet or stand-offish. But put a camera in my hand, and you’ll see a different side of me, the one who can capture genuine moments and connect with your family through my lens.

I know what it’s like to feel too messy, too busy, or too not-together to be in front of the camera because I’ve been there. But that’s exactly why I believe in capturing real, honest moments. Your family doesn’t need to be perfect or posed. You just need to show up as you are, and I’ll do the rest.
