Below is the best color palette for your newborn session's wardrobe. Mom's I always encourage you to start with yourself and then match everyone to you.
Parents:
Fathers: Please wear a neutral-colored V-neck, T-shirt, or polo. If wearing patterns, ensure they are soft and small. Avoid baggy clothes to prevent fabric bunching. No slinky fabric. Please iron your shirt as wrinkles will not be edited out. No bright colors.
Mothers: Wear a flowy dress or a loose-fitting tank top or a dainty, fitted tee in soft colors, neutrals, or pastels. Lace, lenin and anything off the shoulders is amazing. If you choose long sleeves, make sure they are fitted or hug your wrist. Avoid nail polish, as hands will be in the images. No bright colors; muted tones only.
Many moms worry about looking their best post-birth, but these photos are precious memories for your child. They don't need to be shared widely or displayed prominently. You can upgrade your package anytime before the session to include parent shots.
Siblings:
Dress your children in simple, soft colors and patterns. Boys can wear fitted T-shirts like dad's, and girls can wear simple solid dresses. Bring someone to watch your children when they are not in photos. No bright colors or loud patterns. Once their part is done, they are free to leave. Newborn sessions can be long, and young children may struggle to stay the entire time.
